Adult children conceived after 1 January 2001 in Switzerland via an assisted reproductive technique using donated sperm cells may request information from the Federal Office for Civil Registration (EAZW) about the donor's physical appearance and personal details (Art. 27 para. 1 RMA). If a legitimate interest exists, a child may, irrespective of his or her age, request information on all the donor data subject to documentation requirements, i.e. including the results of the donor's medical examination and the date of the sperm donation (Art. 27 para. 2 RMA).
